The Girl I Never Met (Original Song)

I don’t normally write on here but I just have this urge to write about life. This month has been a series of crazy unfortunate events. I honestly hate the month of February because two people I’ve known passed away. It’s really hard knowing that someone you knew, talked to and seen can just be gone like that. It’s like one moment they’re there, the next they’re gone. Life is so unexpected that it’s crazy! It’s really tough reminiscing back on times that are now just distant memories because the fact that these people that I knew aren’t physically here anymore sucks. Here I am writing at 4 a.m. and at the same time regretting a lot of things that I could’ve said and done to try to make the memories less painful. This is what constantly continues to intrigue me… that life is truly a mystery, you never know what will happen because the same blessings you might receive one day can be taken away just like that the next day. I guess the saying, “you never know what you have until it’s gone” is really true.

As the days go by, I know that this sadness will heal and everything will go back to normal until that unexpected event occurs again. These type of obstacles don’t just happen, I believe that everything is for a reason. If I realized anything, it’s to just be thankful that i’m alive and healthy. I also feel like my faith in God has been strengthened, my appreciation for living has grown and my understanding towards life has matured from these situations. I will probably never truly understand why things happen the way they do, or maybe I will one day… when that time comes.
